Katherine Hot Springs, Robin Falls Campground, Litchfield National Park

Hello everyone, how are you? We spent two amazing months in Kununurra where we worked for a banana farm, Coles supermarket and Sandalwood Café for me. 2 jobs for Antoine and 3 for me ahah. We met such wonderful people there, we spent such really nice and amazing moments there. We will never forget those two months. We will even miss those people and that place a lot. It is time to get back on the road again to Darwin. Coucou tout le monde, comment allez-vous? Nous avons passé 2 superbes mois à Kununurra où nous avons travaillé pour une ferme de bananes, le supermarché Coles et le café Sandalwood pour moi. 2 jobs pour Antoine et 3 pour moi ahah. Nous avons rencontré des personnes tellement gentilles avec qui on a passé des supers moments. Nous n’oublierons jamais ces 2 mois. Ces personnes et cet endroit vont même beaucoup nous manquer. Cependant, il est temps de reprendre la route vers Darwin.

Here are the pictures of the house we lived 2 months in and we played darts a lot ^^. Voici la maison dans laquelle nous avons vécu pendant 2 mois et nous avons beaucoup joué aux fléchettes ^^.

Along the way, we made few stops. We crossed the border of Western Australia/Northern Territory but the first one was at Katherine Hot Springs, free hot pool in the middle of the city. Really beautiful place, and it was good to refresh ourselves a bit with all this drive. We stopped at a lovely campground for the night, Robin Falls. It was really good to take our camping routine back, even it was not that easy ^^. After having work 70 hours to 80 hours per week, we were exhausted. It was really hard for us to get our full energy and body back. Especially for me as I have been working a month without any day off. Sur le chemin, nous nous sommes arrêtés à plusieurs endroits. Nous avons traversé la frontière entre les états du Western Australia et Northern Territory mais le premier stop que nous avons fait était aux sources d’eau chaude de la ville de Katherine, une piscine gratuite au milieu de la ville. C’était un joli endroit, et ça faisait du bien de se rafraichir avec toute cette route. Nous nous sommes arrêtés à un adorable camping pour la nuit proche d’un cours d’eau, Robin Falls. C’était cool de reprendre notre routine du camping, même si ça n’a pas été facile au début ^^. Après avoir travaillé pendant 70 à 80 heures par semaine, nous étions vraiment fatigués. Ça a été un peu dur de retrouver toute notre énergie et notre forme. Particulièrement pour moi qui aie travaillé pendant 1 mois sans aucun jour de repos.

Along the road, we visited the Litchfield National Park. Famous for its huge termite mounds. We visited the lost city while going back to 4WD roads. This park was also really cool for swimming at the Florence Falls and the Wangi Falls. However, we had to make sure that we were swimming in the designated area because of the crocodiles. Sur le chemin pour Darwin, nous avons découvert le Parc National de Litchfield. Connu pour ses termitières géantes, ce parc est idéal pour se baigner aux cascades de Florence et de Wangi. Cependant, nous devions nous baigner dans les endroits balisés à cause des crocodiles. Nous sommes allés également voir la cité perdue en revenant à nos bons vieux chemins 4x4.

It is really good to be on the road again. Visiting, discovering, this is what this road trip is all about but meeting such nice people as well. Have fun guys, see you later in Darwin.
