Uluru, Kata Tjuta: Australia’s biggest symbol

We woke up in a camping we paid to enjoy a more than deserved shower after 5 days in the desert. The camping was lovely as there were a camels and emus farm, a swimming pool and a restaurant. Nous nous sommes réveillés ce matin dans un camping payant pour profiter d’une douche bien méritée après 5 jours dans le désert. Le camping était vraiment sympa puisqu’il y avait une ferme de chameaux et d’émeus, une piscine et un restaurant.

Today, we are on our way to see one of the biggest symbol of Australia, Ayers Rock alias Uluru. This big rock is a sacred mount for Aboriginal people. After getting our National Park passes, we visited the cultural center first to better understand the origin of the Aboriginal cult. Then, we drove around that big rock to better see its characteristics. Finally, we climbed the top of our 4x4 as a sunset spot to enjoy the changing colours as the sun was coming down. This sunset was the best sunset I have ever seen. This was magical!!! Aujourd’hui, nous sommes en route pour aller voir l’un des plus grands symboles d’Australie, Ayers Rocks alias Uluru. Ce gros rocher est un mont sacré pour les aborigènes. Après avoir acheté nos tickets, nous avons visité le centre culturel en premier pour comprendre les origines du culte aborigène. Puis, nous avons fait le tour de ce gros rocher en voiture pour mieux percevoir ses caractéristiques. Enfin, nous nous sommes posés sur le toit de notre 4x4 pour profiter des couleurs changeantes alors que le soleil descendait. Ce coucher de soleil est l’un des plus beaux que je n’ai jamais vu. C’était magique !!!

The second day we woke up at 5:20 a.m. to go to see the sunrise this time. The colours were not the same neither and the magic still occurred. This was incredible. We decided to run around the base of Uluru, a 10kms loop. Unbelievable spot for running. Le jour suivant, nous nous sommes réveillés à 5h20 pour cette fois-ci voir le lever du soleil. Les couleurs étaient encore différentes et la magie a une nouvelle fois opéré. C’était incroyable. Nous avons ensuite décidé de courir à la base d’Uluru, une boucle de 10kms. Un spot inoubliable pour courir puis pour petit-déjeuner :p

In the afternoon, we went to the Mount Olgas alias Kata Tjuta, these mounts are located 50 kms from Uluru and belongs to the same National Park. We had a 2 hours hike in the gorges and it was also super impressive. The matching red, blue and green colours were fantastic. Dans l’après-midi, nous sommes allés au mont Olgas alias Kata Tjuta. Ces formations sont situées à 50kms d’Uluru et font partis du même Parc National. Nous avons randonné pendant 2 heures dans les gorges et c’était également très impressionnant. L’association du rouge, du bleu, du vert était fantastique.

Now, I know why Uluru is one of the biggest symbol of Australia. The beauty, the meaning, the immensity. Incredible. Maintenant, je comprends pourquoi Uluru est l’un des symboles fort d’Australie. La beauté, la signification, l’immensité, incroyable.
