Bungy Jump, THE birthday present

For his birthday, I offered Antoine a present that I didn’t want to be heavy in my luggage and to be unforgettable like this adventure. I decided to offer him a bungy jump because, at the Kawarau bridge, the bungy jump has been opened to public for the first time thanks to AJ Hackett. The first bungy jumper. The spot was amazing. Antoine jumped then from 43m height and under his feet, there was the river. He asked the guys his wish to touch the water but it was a hard thing to do. He had to jump straight into the void and…. He did it! He was the first one to touch the water this day! It was impressive and Antoine loved it!!

Pour son anniversaire, j’ai offert à Antoine un cadeau dont je ne voulais pas qu’il soit lourd dans ma valise mais qu’il soit inoubliable comme cette aventure. J’ai donc décidé de lui offrir un saut à l’élastique, au pont Kawarau, là où le saut à l’élastique a été ouvert au public pour la première fois par AJ Hackett, un des premiers sauteurs à l’élastique. L’endroit était top. Antoine a sauté à 43m et sous ses pieds, une rivière. Il a demandé à toucher l’eau lors de son saut mais c’est une technique assez dure à avoir. Il devait sauter droit dans le vide et… il a réussi ! Il était le premier de la journée à réussir à toucher l’eau ! C’était impressionnant et il a adoré !!

As I already did a bungy jump, I also wanted to offer me a small present ahah. Then, I jumped after him and I loved it as well, as much as the first time. We didn’t jump together because I wanted him to fully enjoy his jump, and he did it well. Such an unforgettable moment!! Comme j’avais déjà sauté à l’élastique, j’ai également voulu me faire un petit cadeau ahah. Du coup, j’ai sauté après Antoine et j’ai adoré aussi, autant que la première fois. Nous n’avons pas sauté ensemble car je voulais qu’il profite pleinement de son saut et c’est ce qu’il a très bien fait. Un moment inoubliable.
