Palawan, El Nido

The second island we went in the Philippines was Palawan, El Nido. We took the fast ferry from Coron town to El Nido. It took us 3 hours. I had booked two nights in a small cottage in the city center. When we discovered it, we felt in love straight. See below the reason why in pictures… La deuxième île où nous avons accosté aux Philippines était Palawan, El Nido. Nous avons pris un ferry de la ville de Coron jusque El Nido. Cela nous a pris 3 heures donc assez rapide. J’avais réservé 2 nuits dans un petit cottage dans la ville. Quand nous l’avons découvert, nous sommes directement tombés sous le charme. As we thought the scooter was so convenient to visit the city and its surroundings, we rented one for the whole day. The city was less noisy than Coron but still pretty busy ^^. We went to White beach and Las Cabanas beach to enjoy the afternoon there. It was really chill with music and bars along the beach. We also enjoyed a beautiful sunset there with sumptuous colours. Then, we came back in the town center to enjoy El Nido by night. Comme on trouvait que se déplacer en scooter était super pratique pour visiter la ville et ses environs, on en a loué un pour toute une journée cette fois-ci. La ville était moins bruyante que Coron mais quand même bien active.^^ Nous sommes allés à White beach et à Las Cabanas pour profiter de l’après-midi là-bas. C’était super relax avec de la musique et des bars le long de la plage. On a également profité du coucher de soleil avec des couleurs somptueuses. Enfin, nous sommes revenus dans la ville pour profiter de El Nido et sa vie nocturne.

The day after, we also booked an islands hopping. We started by the succulent breakfast of our hotel, Philippines breakfast one for Antoine and continental one for me. Then, our tricycle was waiting for us to start our bangka day ahah. Pour le jour suivant, nous avions également réservé un islands hopping. Mais avant tout, nous avons commencé la journée par un succulent petit-déjeuner à notre hôtel. Un petit-déjeuner Philippin pour Antoine et un continental pour moi. Ensuite, notre tricycle nous attendait pour aller à notre journée bangka. ahah

Our guide’s name for this hopping island was Brian and he was super cool. He also knew some words in French so he was super friendly with us. He even called Antoine ‘Ma couille’ ahah. There were still a lot of people for the tours but we had a problem with our boat at the departure so we did all the visit with delay and then with less people. Soooo good!!! We saw the secret Lagoon by swimming, Big Lagoon by kayak. They cooked a meal for us on the boat which we ate on the quiet Shimizu Island. We also had the best spot of snorkeling ever. We saw clown fishes, clums, and magnificent corals… Stunning! We ended this hopping island with Commando beach where we tried the 'Banana Gue' specialty (fried banana with sugar) and by playing beach volley.

Le nom de notre guide était Brian et il était vraiment cool. Il connaissait quelques mots en français donc on a beaucoup sympathisé avec lui. Il a même donné un surnom à Antoine « ma couille » ahah. Il y avait également beaucoup de personnes pour le tour mais comme nous avons eu un problème de moteur de bateau au début, nous avons fait toutes les visites en décalé par rapport aux autres groupes donc avec beaucoup moins de personnes. Troooop bien !!! Nous avons vus le lagon secret à la nage et le Big Lagoon en kayak. Ils ont cette fois-ci cuisiné notre déjeuner sur le bateau que nous avons pu dévorer sur la calme île de Shimizu. C’est à cet islands hopping que nous avons eu les plus beaux spots de plongée masque-tuba. On a vu des poissons clown Nemo, des coraux magnifiques… Nous avons terminé le tour sur la plage Commando en goûtant à la spécialité culinaire "Banana Gue" (banane frit avec du sucre) et en jouant au beach volley.

We finish the day with… Marie and her boyfriend. Yes! Crazy! Without consulting each other, we booked the same dates to go to the Philippines and we had one evening at the same place. Ahah We couldn’t miss the occasion to see each other in another part of the world ^^. Then, we had a wonderful pizzas/San Miguel beers evening at her place. This moment was so good!! If you wanna join us in an area of world, we are in for it!! I&A On a terminé la journée avec… Marie et son copain. Oui ! C’était fou ! Sans se consulter l’une et l’autre, nous avons réservé les mêmes dates pour aller aux Philippines et nous avions une soirée au même endroit. Ahah on ne pouvait donc pas rater l’occasion de se voir à l’autre bout du monde ^^. Nous avons donc passé une super soirée pizzas/bières San Miguel à leur hôtel. C’était un super moment.
